The event is one of the highlights of Hue Ao Dai Week 2026, which runs from July 3 to 10.
It was held to promote the message of green living and honor the beauty of heritage in modern life. Furthermore, the cycling event also served as an opportunity to honor traditional cultural values and reaffirm the brand name ‘Hue - The Capital of Ao Dai’ to residents and visitors.
The event contributed to strengthening Hue’s image as a green, civilized, and sustainable city, with a strong commitment to environmental protection and cultural heritage preservation.

Over 200 participants, including leaders, officials, employees, and workers from departments, agencies, and tourism businesses across the city, took part in the event by wearing ao-dai and cycling through the streets of Hue.
The cycling event began at 6 a.m., with participants setting off from the square in front of Quoc Hoc – Hue High School for the Gifted on Le Loi Street, then crossing Ga Bridge to Bui Thi Xuan Street - Da Vien Bridge - Le Duan Street - Tran Hung Dao Street - Truong Tien Bridge - Le Loi Street before returning to the starting point.

According to the leader of the Department of Tourism, the “Ao Dai on the Streets” cycling event was an occasion for tourism and service organizations and businesses across the city to work together in developing local tourism, heading towards the celebration of Vietnam Tourism Day on July 9.
Blending the elegance of the traditional ao-dai with a community cycling event, the program not only contributed to promoting the image of Hue’s tourism to domestic and international visitors but also underscored the city’s commitment to building a civilized and sustainable urban environment, while spreading the image of Hue as a “Green - Clean - Bright” city.
