Young participants joining the Bach Hoa Bo Hanh parade

The Bach Hoa Bo Hanh event was part of Hue Ao Dai Week 2026, held on the afternoon of July 4th within Hue Imperial Citadel.

Thousands of enthusiasts of Vietnamese culture and traditional costumes from across the country gathered in Hue to participate in the event. Alongside the wide variety of ao dai on display, this year's highlight was the re-enactment of the majestic Nguyen Dynasty Royal Procession.

Starting from the yard in front of the Quoc Tu Giam historical site on 23 Thang 8 Street, the parade, comprising hundreds of participants, walked along Doan Thi Diem Street before entering the Imperial Citadel through Hien Nhon Gate. The procession then continued through the Imperial Palace, passing several of Hue's iconic heritage landmarks, including Thai Hoa Palace, Kien Trung Palace, and Ngo Mon Gate…

A notable feature of this year's event was the participation of many famous artists, including Truong Giang, Le Duong Bao Lam, Ngo Kien Huy, Kieu Minh Tuan, and Huy Khanh. While filming a television program in Hue, the artists joined the procession and took part in promoting the Ao dai. Wherever the parade passed, it received an enthusiastic welcome from large crowds of local residents and visitors.

According to the organizers, the event not only offered a vivid visual experience that connected the past with the present, but also created a cultural exchange space to honor and promote Vietnam's traditional costume.
