| Presenting gifts to the children |
The program welcomed 100 children in difficult circumstances from the highland communes of A Luoi 3, A Luoi 5, Nam Dong, and Long Quang.
Venerable Thich Hue Trong, Standing Deputy Head of the Charity and Social Affairs Committee of the VBS in Hue City, shared that although the gifts are modest, they carry all the love and care, aiming to motivate the children to strive in their studies, cultivate good character, and nurture their beautiful dreams for the future.
Speaking on behalf of the localities, Ms. Ho Thi Thanh Tuyen, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dong Commune, expressed her gratitude and heartfelt thanks to authorities at all levels and the community for their attention and care for children in highland areas.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City allocated 100 million VND from the “For the poor” Fund to provide 100 gift packages, each worth 1 million VND, to the children participating in the program. The meaningful support reflects the tradition of mutual support and compassion, as well as the society’s sense of responsibility toward the younger generation in ethnic minority communities, who still face many hardships.
