Exhibition showcases and introduces Hue Buddhist heritage in the Vesak season

Display space featuring ancient texts

The event is jointly organized by the Cultural Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City and the Management Board of Lieu Quan Buddhist Cultural Center.

The exhibition introduces hundreds of Buddhist materials, ranging from sutras, ancient manuscripts, and woodblock prints to precious photographs and documents dating back hundreds of years.

Among the notable items are a copy of the Diamond Sutra embroidered with five-colored silk threads on golden brocade, woodblock prints of “The Buddha’s Teaching on the Names of Three Thousand Buddhas” from the 33^rd year of the Canh Hung reign (1772), the “Certificate of Buddha Recitation Merit” painting from the 18^th century, and an 18^th century painting of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. More recent materials on display include the complete collection of the Lieu Quan Journal, consisting of 36 issues published from 2014 to the present.

Through the exhibition, the Organization Board hopes to foster greater awareness and appreciation for preserving and promoting Buddhist heritage values in contemporary life.

The exhibition will run until May 31^st.
