Leader of the Department of Culture & Sports presented flowers to congratulate the winner of stage 8

Starting about 2.5km from the finish line in Hue City, the cyclists treated spectators to an impressive display of acceleration and intense competition.

With about 500m remaining, the race reached a dramatic peak as three cyclists from the clubs, namely Chau Thoi Vinh Long, 602 Nong Nghiep Vinh Long, and Nhua Binh Minh - Binh Duong broke away from the chasing pack to contend for the stage victory.

At that moment, taking advantage of the fierce competition between the cyclists from Chau Thoi Vinh Long and 602 Nong Nghiep Vinh Long, Savva Novikov of Nhua Binh Minh - Binh Duong smartly positioned himself on the left flank to accelerate to surge ahead.

While it seemed that the Russian cyclist’s sudden acceleration at the final 300m would secure him the victory, with a powerful sprint finish, Nick Kergozou of 602 Nong Nghiep Vinh Long overtook Savva Novikov by just centimeters to claim first place.

On the morning of April 12 in Hue City, the cyclists will continue their journey with stage 9: Phu Xuan Bridge - Da Vien Bridge over a distance of 54km (12 laps), starting in front of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted. This is a new stage compared to previous years, promising exciting and memorable experiences for both spectators and cyclists.
