The event drew a large number of writers, poets, club members, and poetry lovers, creating a warm atmosphere in the early days of spring. Le Ba Duc, Poet, Head of Vietnam Haiku Poetry Club - Hue Ancient Capital Chapter, said that the gathering offered members an opportunity to meet, share new works, strengthen bonds of friendship, and continue nurturing their passion for Haiku poetry.
The program opened with a recitation of the poem “The First Full Moon” by President Ho Chi Minh. The First Full Moon Festival (Tet Nguyen Tieu), held annually on the 15th day of the first lunar month, has long been regarded as a celebration of Vietnamese poetry. It is a time when poetry enthusiasts gather to honor literary and artistic values, while expressing hopes and aspirations for a bright and peaceful new year.
On this occasion, the organizing committee presented membership decisions and membership cards to new members, while hosting poetry exchanges, artistic performances, and activities celebrating International Women’s Day (March 8).
