In 2025, budget revenue and expenditure recorded many positive results. According to fiscal closing data as of December 31st, 2025, total state budget revenue in the area reached 14.850 billion VND, equivalent to 116,4% of the estimate assigned by the City People’s Council, up 21% compared to the same period last year. Of this amount, domestic revenue reached 13.128 billion VND; revenue from land lease and land use fees reached 3.800 billion VND; and revenue from import-export activities reached 1.580 billion VND. Local budget expenditure was estimated at 15.850 billion VND, equal to 98,2% of the estimate, including 4.400 billion VND for development investment spending and 11.250 billion VND for recurrent expenditure.
Budget management and administration were implemented proactively and flexibly, ensuring the timely fulfilment of expenditure tasks, particularly development investment, social welfare, disaster recovery, and other key political tasks, while maintaining financial discipline, order, and the safety of the state treasury.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan acknowledged and praised the efforts and dedication of officials, civil servants, and employees of the finance - treasury - tax - customs sector, whose contributions played an important role in the city’s overall development achievements. The Chairman emphasized that the finance sector has proactively and decisively implemented many solutions in budget management and administration, creating an important foundation for socio-economic development.
2026 is the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 17th City Party Congress, serving as a pivotal year for the goal of rapid and sustainable growth in the 2026 - 2030 period. The city has set a GRDP growth target of 10% or higher and aims for state budget revenue to exceed 16.000 billion VND. To achieve this goal, the Chairman of the City People’s Committee requested that the finance sector continue to promote its core role in budget advisory and administration; improve the quality of forecasting and financial - budget management; accelerate digital transformation and administrative procedure reform; tighten financial discipline and order; and closely coordinate with departments, sectors, and localities, contributing to the development of a transparent, modern, and effective local financial system.
The Chairman hoped that the finance sector would continue to renew its thinking, uphold a strong sense of responsibility, enhance staff capacity, maintain integrity and discipline, and remain determined to accomplish the financial and budgetary objectives and tasks for 2026, making positive contributions to the city’s sustainable development.
On the same afternoon, Chairman Nguyen Khac Toan visited and congratulated the City Department of Finance and the Hue City Tax Department on the occasion of the closing of the 2025 state budget fiscal year.
At the units visited, the Chairman of the City People’s Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts and dedication of collectives of officials, civil servants, and public employees in the finance and tax sectors in budget management and administration, which have made an important contribution to the city’s socio-economic development results over the past year. He requested that, in the coming period, the units continue to promote solidarity, proactiveness, and creativity; enhance financial discipline and order; strengthen coordination in advisory work and the management of budget revenue and expenditure; and accelerate administrative reform and the application of information technology, contributing to the successful completion of financial and budgetary tasks for 2026 and the years to come.
