At the meeting, Mr. Liu Shih-Chung, Head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, thanked the leadership of Hue City for their warm welcome and expressed his profound sympathy for the significant damage and losses the city has endured due to recent flooding. The Head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office affirmed that the Office would continue to serve as a bridge, promoting exchanges and cooperation between Hue and partners in Taipei in the coming time.
According to Mr. Liu Shih-Chung, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam is ready to serve as a bridge, promoting cooperation between Hue City and Taipei’s agencies, organizations, businesses, and investors across multiple fields, including healthcare, education, tourism, overseas labor export, technology, infrastructure, and development investment. Through these efforts, such cooperation is expected to support Hue’s post-disaster recovery and effectively exploit the city’s potential, strengths, and development opportunities in the coming time.
The Permanent Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh welcomed the delegation on its visit and working session in Hue. Furthermore, he also provided an overview of the city’s potential, strengths, and development orientations in the coming time. He emphasized that Hue consistently places great importance on expanding international cooperation, including with partners from Taipei, on the basis of friendship and mutually beneficial development.

Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh also expressed his hope that Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam would continue to play its bridging role, supporting Hue in connecting with Taipei’s investors, businesses, organizations, and localities. Through this cooperation, the two sides would expand collaboration in areas where they share strengths and mutual interests, such as healthcare, education and training, tourism, technology, innovation, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development.
