| Former Politburo member and former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Commission Nguyen Khoa Diem and delegates view materials on President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh |
The event was jointly organized by Nguyen Chi Thanh General Museum and Ho Chi Minh Museum of Hue City. Attending the exhibition were former Politburo member and former Head of the Central Ideology and Culture Commission Nguyen Khoa Diem, along with representatives of departments, agencies and sectors, researchers, armed forces, the younger generation, and representatives of the family of General Nguyen Chi Thanh.
The exhibition is one of the activities honouring the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh to the cause of national independence, the building of socialism in the North, and the struggle for national reunification.
Featuring 40 archival photographs, the exhibition focuses on three main themes: the Tan Trao story; President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh in the journey of national liberation, socialist construction in the North, and the liberation of the South and national reunification; and President Ho Chi Minh’s affection for the family of General Nguyen Chi Thanh.
All of these themes are vividly re-enacted through key milestones in the struggle for independence, freedom, and peace for the Vietnamese nation. In this journey, President Ho Chi Minh was the initiator and guiding leader, while General Nguyen Chi Thanh was the successor who implemented these ideals through sharp political and military strategies.
According to the organizers, the exhibition helps clarify a consistent guiding ideology: in order to achieve peace, it is necessary to win and firmly safeguard national independence, while combining national strength with the strength of the times and mobilizing international support. Through this, the exhibition also expresses the deep trust and special affection that President Ho Chi Minh bestowed upon General Nguyen Chi Thanh and his family, even after the General’s passing.
The exhibition is open to the public until December 25th.
