Hue City Innovative Startup Competition is an activity under the Hue Startup Capital Project for the period of 2021-2025. Held annually since 2016, the competition has become an important highlight, affirming the city’s determination to nurture and promote the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship. At the same time, it contributes to increasing both the quantity and quality of businesses, providing momentum for the sustainable development of Hue City’s innovative entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Through its editions, the competition has encouraged and fostered the spirit of innovative startups among youth, women, students, lecturers, scientists, and investors, especially local businesses and residents, creating a widespread culture of startups within the community.

Based on the scoring results from the preliminary and semi-final rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 16 outstanding innovative startup ideas and projects to participate in the final. Some exemplary projects and ideas include: Rice Cake Snack VN Flex – Elevating Vietnamese Specialties; Green Concrete Products from Agricultural and Industrial Waste Toward Net Zero (HUAF-GPC); Ment Fnb – Super Simple Sales Management Software for Micro and Small Businesses; VibeCodingVN Online Education Platform; and Conserving the Value of Local Resources and Promoting Sustainable Livelihoods from Hue Tea, etc. These are all exemplary projects that demonstrate creativity, commercialization potential, clear social value, and practical development prospects.
Based on the results of the final round, the Organizing Committee will select outstanding startup ideas and projects to present awards. The prize structure includes: 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and 3 Consolation Prizes. For ideas and projects winning Second Prize or higher, the competition’s standing agency will propose to the City People’s Committee for consideration and approval to commission them through the implementation of city-level science and technology tasks (if they meet the required conditions under regulations). The closing ceremony and award presentation are expected to be held in November - December 2025.
