The teams preparing their dishes |
The contest brings together 25 teams, each consisting of 2 members. Each team will have 60 minutes to prepare 1 Hue dish, serving 4 guests, ensuring hygiene – safety – environmentally friendliness. Their dishes can be presented in either traditional or contemporary style. The judging committee includes renowned culinary experts and artisans from various provinces and cities. These professionals are not only deeply knowledgeable about the essence of Hue cuisine but have also made significant contributions to vocational training and the sustainable development of Vietnamese gastronomy.
A noteworthy highlight of this year’s contest is the organizers’ encouragement for participants to use clean and organic ingredients. Furthermore, they are encouraged to minimize plastic waste, and creatively incorporate cultural storytelling into their dishes - the elements that help spread the spirit of “Hue Cuisine in the Green Flow”.
From the performances of the 25 teams, the organizers will select 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes, 1 potential prize, and 5 consolation prizes. In addition to the material rewards, the winning team will have the opportunity to receive advanced training and professional development to represent Hue in the national final held in Vung Tau City, an event that gathers outstanding student chefs from across the country.
