The city-level exam to select excellent high school students this year has 3,383 participants, including 949 students from specialized schools, 2,320 from high schools, and 114 learners from continuing education programs.
The students participate in 2 categories: Specialized Category and Non-Specialized Category. Each category includes the following subjects: Literature, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, English, French, Japanese, Informatics, etc.
For the Specialized Category, the exam content is based on the high school specialized curriculum. The duration for each written exam is 180 minutes. As for the oral exam in foreign language subjects, students have 5 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes for presentation.
In the Non-Specialized Category, the exam content is based on the current high school curriculum up to the time of the exam, meeting knowledge requirements at the levels of comprehension, application, and advanced application. The duration for each exam is 150 minutes.
Candidates taking the Informatics exam must be present in the computer room 30 minutes before the exam session to receive instructions on the draw and to check the equipment.
To encourage the students, high schools have organized gatherings to honor the teams of outstanding students, aiming to boost their morale and motivation so that they can enter the exam with confidence and determination for the best results.
The City-level Exam to Select Excellent High School Students is an important event to identify and select outstanding individuals who will represent Hue City in the upcoming National Excellent Student Competition.
