Located next to the Thuan An Estuary, residents of nearby coastal villages also plant casuarina trees to block the sand. When constructing the bridge across Thuan An Estuary that cuts through the casuarina forest, relevant authorities also tried to avoid damaging the forests.

In this Issue, Hue Today Weekly is pleased to introduce photos of the quiet, simple, yet resilient casuarina forest of the people of Thai Duong Thuong village, taken by Hai Duong, a photographer, along with his proud sharing: “For the local residents, the casuarina forest is not just a natural wall sheltering their lives, but also a memory, an emotional bond that has spanned many generations. That is why they always consider the casuarina forest a treasure of the village.”
