The exhibition, organized by Hue Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with the high-end wedding dress brand Lecia, opened on the morning of September 21 at the Diem Phung Thi Art Center (17 Le Loi, Thuan Hoa Ward).
The six-layer cut specimen represents the process of deconstructing the artwork into six layers, recreating the journey through the renowned traditional embroidery villages of the North - Central region, from royal robe embroidery in Dong Cuu to art embroidery in Quat Dong. Through the creative lens of carving, inlaying, and cutting, the art of embroidery is given a new look, both honoring traditional values and inspiring a contemporary mindset.
Through each displayed work, the public can witness a profound freshness in the relationship between the modern "muse" and traditional heritage. There, Lecia incorporates traditional Vietnamese handicraft techniques into a contemporary look, affirming that they are not only items, but also artworks that contain pride and cultural stories.
The exhibition also includes interactive experiences of traditional embroidery techniques, talks with artisans, and other experiences, etc.
The exhibition is open until September 29.
