| Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hong Quan, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, presented a certificate of merit to the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City on its 80th anniversary |
At the ceremony, Mr. Ho Dang Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City, emphasized that the 80-year journey of Hue's literature and arts has been closely linked with the country's major turning points. Since the establishment of the National Salvation Cultural Association in Thua Thien in 1945, generations of Hue artists and writers have chosen to align themselves with the nation's destiny, dedicating their creativity, and serving the Fatherland. During the resistance wars, many works of literature, music, and painting were created, becoming powerful anti-war voices that affirmed the aspiration for freedom and national reunification.
Entering the period of peace, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Hue City has continuously grown, which currently has more than 750 members working in various fields. Generations of artists and writers have created a rich artistic flow, both inheriting and innovating, contributing to the preservation and promotion of Hue's cultural identity, while also contributing to the overall development of literature and arts nationwide.
The anniversary ceremony is an occasion to pay tribute to previous generations, affirm the role of Hue's artists and writers in the nation's spiritual life, and provide motivation for new creative works, contributing to the goal of building and developing Hue into a prosperous, culturally rich, and modern city.
