Leaders of the Department of Culture & Sports presenting souvenirs to the tournament’s sponsors

Attracting nearly 300 outstanding athletes from Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Da Nang, and Hue, the tournament features events including Mixed Doubles in divisions PVNA 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, and Mixed Doubles for players over 45 of age.

With a total prize pool of more than 200 million VND, along with the participation of certified athletes, verified by Vietnam Pickleball Forum, the tournament promises exciting, competitive, and high-quality matches.

According to Mr. Tran Thanh Tuan, Director of the City Sports Center, in addition to providing opportunities for athletes to sharpen their skills and prove their abilities, the tournament also aims to encourage localities and clubs to build up their athlete base, develop the pickleball movement, and create an environment for exchange and learning among clubs in Hue City and neighboring provinces and cities.

The tournament ends on August 31st.

 Competition at the 1st Phu Bai Ward Pickleball Open - 2025

* From August 29th – 30th, Phu Bai Ward also organized Phu Bai Pickleball Open at SuSu Pickleball Court (802 Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Phu Bai Ward).

Though being held for the first time, the event attracted nearly 100 athletes from pickleball clubs in the ward and across the city. Players were grouped into three divisions, A, B, and C, competing in a round-robin format to qualify for the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.

Mr. Phan Huu Son, Vice Chairman of Phu Bai Ward People’s Committee, said that this marks a starting point for pickleball to develop strongly and become one of the most popular sports for regular practice among local residents.
