With the theme “Hue City - the process of construction and development through archival documents”, the exhibition features a wide range of rare and valuable documents, images, and artifacts selected from various sources. These items vividly reflect the historical, cultural, economic, and social imprints of Hue throughout different periods. A key focus is on documents showing the city's formation and development, as well as its outstanding achievements in economic, cultural, social, and national defense - security sectors.
Being held in parallel with the physical display, the exhibition has been digitized and made available online on Hue City Party Committee Portal, Hue City Portal, the Department of Home Affairs’ website, Hue-S, and other digital platforms. The application of information technology helps expand the accessibility, remove barriers of time and space, and bring historical documents closer to the public both inside and outside the city.
In addition to the exhibition, the Department of Home Affairs also produced a 10 - 15 minute documentary film titled “Hue through the course of history through archival documents” to recreate Hue’s development journey using original documents.
