On August 25, the HUFLIS welcomed the 22nd cohort of new students for enrollment.
Accordingly, the first phase of enrollment for new students is taking place on August 25 and 26 at the library building, located at 57 Nguyen Khoa Chiem Street, An Cuu Ward, Hue City.
New students are being welcomed and assisted with related procedures. For those unable to enroll as scheduled, the university has provided guidelines to help them with late enrollment, and ensure their study progress at the university.
Right after the admission scores were announced, the university continuously updated information regarding the schedule, process, and instructions for online enrollment confirmation, and online profile submission. They also provided guidance on documents and enrollment procedures through channels like Zalo, fanpage, website, and email, etc. At the same time, the university developed a detailed plan, and prepared facilities and staff to welcome new students to enroll.
Additionally, the university's Youth Union and Student Association are conducting various activities to accompany and support new students and their families during the enrollment process, such as offering free motorbike rides, helping them find accommodation, and providing free drinking water, etc.
In 2025, the HUFLIS enrolls nearly 2,000 students across 12 majors. The benchmark scores for the English Language Teaching and Chinese Language Teaching majors were 30 points. To ensure the enrollment targets, the university had to apply additional sub-criteria for admissions.
Specifically, for the English Language Teaching major, candidates had to meet the sub-criteria of scoring 9.5 points or higher in foreign language subject, and 8.5 points or higher in Literature subject. For the Chinese Language Teaching major, the score of foreign language subject had to be 10 points.
In this new academic year, the university also officially launches its bachelor's program in American Studies. Students in this major will have the opportunity to take an 8-week field trip to the USA, and complete some coursework at James Madison University, Virginia, the USA.
