The “Golden Opportunity” program is led by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and implemented by Vietnam Television in coordination with and the Party Committees - People's Committees of Hanoi, Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City. This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025), and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The program will take place at three live broadcast locations, including: the Hanoi Flag Tower, one of the symbols of the national independence spirit; the Noon Gate Square in Hue, a place that connects the past and the present; and the Nha Rong Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City, where Uncle Ho's journey began, inspiring generations today.
The “Golden Opportunity” program will take the audience on a journey through three chapters.
Chapter 1: “Looking broadly, thinking carefully”, where the audience will be transported back to the historic days of August, feeling the fervent atmosphere as the entire nation stood up.
Chapter 2: “Resolutely maintaining the offensive”, where the audience will be guided through 80 years of history, from “It took nine years to secure Dien Bien”, the historic Spring that unified the country, to the brilliant renewal process.
Chapter 3: “Being certain to succeed”, where the audience will see Vietnam today, facing a new “Golden Opportunity” - an era of development, prosperity, and strength.
During the “Golden Opportunity” live TV link-up program, the audience will watch meticulously staged historical reenactments, as if they were present in Tan Trao resistance base, or amidst the fervent streets of Hanoi, Hue, and Saigon - Cho Lon - Gia Dinh.
