| The contest “Dance of the Lagoon Birds” will take place from August 18th to October 31st, 2025 |
The contest aims to raise community awareness about biodiversity conservation, especially wild birds in the coastal lagoons of Central Vietnam, while also providing a creative artistic platform for both professional and amateur photographers nationwide.
This is an opportunity for photographers to capture vivid and unique moments of bird species in the unique lagoon landscapes of Central Vietnam - where pristine beauty, rich natural life, and unique ecological values converge. Through photography, the contest continues to promote and spread the message about the importance of protecting nature, conserving wild birds, and safeguarding their habitats.
Eligible participants are Vietnamese citizens living and working across the country. The contest encourages participation from students, researchers, professional and amateur photographers, forest rangers, conservationists, lecturers, scientists, as well as local residents.
Entries should reflect one of the following themes: images of bird species living or migrating in the lagoons and coastal areas, especially rare, endemic, or endangered species at risk of habitat loss; typical biological moments of birds such as nesting, breeding, feeding, or interacting with their environment or other species; characteristic lagoon ecosystems, relationships between birds - mangrove forests - tidal flats - communities; impacts and threats leading to declines in bird population numbers and distribution; actions, initiatives, and models for protecting birds and their habitats; and images of communities engaged in education and eco-tourism connected to birds.

Entries should be submitted via email at: https://thianh-bttnmt.hue.gov.vn. The submission period runs from August 18th until October 31st, 2025. Judging and announcement of results are expected in early November 2025.
The prize includes: one First Prize of 5 million VND; one Second Prize of 3 million VND; two Third Prizes of 2 million VND each; three Audience Choice Awards of 1 million VND each; and two Organizing Committee Choice Awards of 1 million VND each. Winning and outstanding works will be exhibited at the museum and published on digital platforms.
