During the meeting, Ms. Sophie Maysonnave expressed her gratitude for the warm reception from the city's leaders during her end-of-term visit to Hue. Ms. Sophie Maysonnave has consistently supported and assisted various socio-economic development programs of the city, especially in the fields of culture, heritage preservation, healthcare, education, investment cooperation, and tourism development.
Ms. Sophie Maysonnave affirmed that Hue has always been one of the key localities in cultural cooperation relationship between France and Vietnam. She expressed a desire to continue maintaining and expanding cooperation projects in culture, arts, heritage preservation, and urban development linked to the preservation of traditional values in Hue. France will continue to accompany and participate in exchange activities at Hue Festivals. The cooperative relationship between Hue City and French localities will become increasingly close and develop comprehensively, while also fostering new, effective, and practical connections.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh was delighted to welcome Ms. Sophie Maysonnave to Hue before the end of her term. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the role of the French Embassy and the French Institute in Vietnam in general, and the French Institute in Hue in particular, in promoting cultural exchanges, educational cooperation, French language training, and supporting heritage preservation projects in Hue recently. He also affirmed the close relationship with French partner agencies with Hue in implementing cooperation projects to contribute to the development and promotion of the cooperative relationship between the Hue City People's Committee and the French Embassy in Vietnam.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee expressed his wish for the relationships between Hue and French partners to continue to be strengthened and developed even more strongly in the coming time, especially in the fields of culture, heritage, sustainable urban development, tourism, and education. Additionally, he hoped the French Embassy would continue to show interest and undertake practical activities to spread and promote Hue, elevating the cooperative relationships between the two countries, and between Hue City and French localities. This would further promote the comprehensive cooperation in education, healthcare, tourism, investment attraction, heritage preservation, and cultural promotion between the locality and French partners to introduce French culture in Vietnam.
