Reflecting on the development of Vietnam’s tourism industry in general and Hue’s in particular, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Tourism Association and Chairman of Hue City Tourism Association, Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, shared that over the past 23 years since its establishment, Hue City Tourism Association has consistently served as a common home, connecting local tourism enterprises as well as a bridge and an extended arm between businesses and the government. The association has, supported tourism enterprises in their steady growth, contributed to policy development, promoted cooperation, improved service quality, and created a favorable development environment for tourism businesses…
In the coming time, Hue City Tourism Association will continue implementing various solutions and organizing numerous activities to support the development of tourism in Hue and across the country, aiming for one event per month. The Association plans to work closely with the National Authority of Tourism and the Department of Tourism to organize programs for the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025; participate in domestic and international tourism promotion fairs; host conferences to promote sustainable green tourism, prioritizing green tourism with a sustainable development trend; improve human resource quality; and mobilize affiliated associations (Travel association, Hospitalityassociation, etc...) to carry out initiatives that will boost flight routes and expand international markets.
In particular, in this year’s Vu Lan (Ullambana) festival, Hue City Tourism Association will take the lead in coordinating with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Hue City to organize the “Hue 2025 Vegetarian Cuisine Week”, aimed at promoting and strengthening the brand of Hue as the Culinary Capital.
At the meeting, the leaders of Hue City Tourism Association expressed heartfelt gratitude for the care and support of current and former city leaders, as well as those who have led Hue’s tourism sector throughout various periods.
