Among the series of projects that have been broken ground, commenced, and completed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the City's Liberation Day (March 26, 1975 - March 26, 2025), and the 95th anniversary of the founding of Hue City Party Committee (April 1930 - April 2025), perhaps the technical opening ceremony of the project of Nguyen Hoang Street and the bridge over the Huong River on March 26 is the most anticipated event by Hue people.
The bridge over the Huong River project, connecting the two banks of Thuan Hoa and Phu Xuan on Nguyen Hoang Street, has a total investment of over 2,280 billion VND, funded by the central and local budgets. The bridge has a unique design, creating a scenic highlight; plays an important role in contributing to the completion of the transportation network, preventing congestion, and reducing traffic load on routes through the center of Hue City. At the same time, it creates momentum for the development of satellite urban areas in the West of Hue City, and contributes to improving people's lives.
