Mr. and Ms. Patrick and Ms. Tuong Vy taking selfies at Hue Imperial Citadel

Among thousands of visitors visiting and experiencing Hue Imperial Citadel on the first days of the Year of Snake, a notable couple was Mr. and Ms. Patrick and Ms. Tuong Vy. Ms. Tuong Vy shared that her family traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Hue for the Lunar New Year, and the Hue Imperial Citadel was their top destination. With a deep appreciation for Vietnam’s traditional Ao dai, Mr. Patrick, a German tourist decided to wear a matching blue Ao dai with his wife to take Tet photos and check-in at the Imperial Citadel. During their time there, he couldn’t stop smiling, as he found the experience both joyful and meaningful.

At the Imperial Citadel, during this Tet, in addition to offering free admission on the first day of the Lunar New Year, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center also organizes various activities for visitors to experience, including a cultural performance at Thai Hoa Palace and traditional royal games such as xam huong, bai vu, tha tho, and dau ho. Additionally, there are also unicorn-lion-dragon dance performances, as well as martial arts demonstrations held over the first three days of Tet.

Not only do Vietnamese visitors have a desire to experience Tet at Hue Imperial Citadel, international tourists from Europe, Asia, and Africa also come here to witness the reenactments of ancient rituals and ceremonies. They eagerly immerse themselves in various activities to feel the traditional Tet atmosphere in the former ancient capital.
