Many US IT groups want to cooperate with Hue in developing smart city

Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho thanked and appreciated the support and good cooperation activities of the United States for the province in the past time; remarkably, the activities in the fields of health, education and training and the support in overcoming the consequences of war, natural disaster prevention, especially the support in restoration and preservation of some Hue heritages.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee said that it was necessary for the US businesses to participate in the fields of health, education, information technology and tourism. In particular, tourism is a spearhead and potential economic sector of the province. Hence, the Chairman hopes Mr. Timothy Liston cares and introduces the image of the land and tourism potential of Thua Thien Hue to the American people, as well as acting as a bridge for the cooperation between Thua Thien Hue province and the business community and universities in the United States in investing in tourism development, training of tourism human resources and the fields that both sides care about.

Mr. Timothy Liston thanked the warm welcome of the provincial leaders and said that he was impressed by the traditional cultural architectures of the complex of Hue monuments. This visit to Hue will continue to affirm and strengthen the good and effective cooperation between the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City with Thua Thien Hue province in the coming time.

In particular, continuing to focus on the areas of education and training, health, culture, preserving the value of Hue heritage; promoting activities to expand economic and trade cooperation between the US business community and Thua Thien Hue province in the fields of health, aviation, clean energy and smart city construction...

At the meeting, the world's leading investors and IT companies such as Dell, IBM, Microsoft, HP, Intel ... introduced their solutions that can be applied to the development of Smart city in Thua Thien Hue. At the same time, they hoped to build cooperation, sponsorship, technical support for planning and deploying IT infrastructure ... with the province in building Smart city.
