At the ceremony, in addition to being given a certificate of quarantine completion, visitors also received gifts from the Department of Tourism, including coupons, discount tours, conical hats, and letters from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho about the desire to welcome the tourists to their return to Hue for a visit with free entry at all monuments.

It is known that of the tourists who were awarded certificates, 12 British tourists were on the flight VN0054 from London to Hanoi on March 9; 22 French tourists had close contact with the 50th and 60th patients of COVID-19 on the flight VN0018 from France to Hanoi on March 9. After arriving in Hue, the tourists were taken to the quarantine area at Sun & Sea Resort.

Although there were some confusion and difficulty at first, through the caring and thoughtful process of the medical staff and the Department of Tourism, all visitors were satisfied and said “thank-you” to Hue and Vietnam. Those who took care of the tourists at Sun & Sea Resort did not forget the birthday of a French female tourist, and they gave her a basket of flower and a gift to send meaningful and emotional birthday wishes.

Mr. Richard Fonquerinie (a French tourist) shared: “During the quarantine period, we were warmly welcomed in a very pleasant space. The meals were delicious as in a 3-star hotel. We will never forget those memorable moments. Thank you all and see you soon.”

So far, Sun & Sea Resort has completed the quarantine for tourists and there is only one Vietnamese under quarantine here.
