Opening of world-class golf course in Hue

HNN.VN - On the morning of September 28, the Golden Sands Golf Resort golf course (located in Vinh Xuan and Vinh Thanh communes, Phu Vang district) officially opened and welcomed enthusiasts of the world's 600-year-old elite sport.

Being positioned as a leading golf destination in Vietnam and the region, the Golden Sands Golf Resort golf course is located next to one of the most beautiful beaches of Thua Thien Hue, in Vinh Xuan and Vinh Thanh communes of Phu Vang district, just 20 kilometers east of Hue city. The Golden Sands Golf Resort golf course is expected to be a new high-end tourism product of the province, besides its existing cultural and heritage tourism products.

Being designed by the world's number one golf course designer, Nicklaus Design, the Golden Sands Golf Resort golf course has a length of up to 7,519 yards from the back tee, earning it the title of “The most difficult golf challenge in Vietnam”. Golfers can expect to hit at least 10 more strokes compared to any other golf course in the country.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Nga, Chairwoman of BRG Group, shared: “The appearance of the Golden Sands Golf Resort golf course will bring a new world-class golf destination to Thua Thien Hue in particular, and the Central Coastal region in general, attracting more domestic and international visitors, especially high-end golf visitors with higher spending power compared to ordinary ones. At the same time, with this new high-end tourism product, visitors to Thua Thien Hue will be able to extend their stay to experience the unique culture, people, and cuisine of a destination recognized by the UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site.”

Speaking at the golf course opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, stated that in the Vietnam tourism development strategy to 2030, which has been approved by the Prime Minister, the development of infrastructure and golf tourism product is one of the key orientations in the development of Vietnam's tourism industry. The focus on investing in infrastructure and developing golf tourism product is a very appropriate and correct policy, and is one of the priorities of the locality to develop tourism and service industry in the socio-economic development orientation of Thua Thien Hue.

Mr. Phan Quy Phuong expressed his wish for the project to operate effectively, providing the best quality services for locals and visitors. At the same time, he requested the investor to continue promoting their project implementation experience, enhancing the sense of responsibility, concentrating all resources, and accelerating the progress of phases 3 and 4 for the hotel area, resort villa area to serve the golf course business, and golf course area, as well as the remaining construction items of the project, with the quality and progress as committed. The provincial leaders will create all favorable conditions for the project to operate effectively, and will direct relevant departments, branches, and localities to continue cooperating, supporting, and accompanying the investor.
