HNN.VN - The Chu Van An - Vo Thi Sau - Pham Ngu Lao pedestrian street (Phu Hoi ward, Hue city), which is so-called Western Quarter has been reopened for the first week after a prolong suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Accordingly, the pedestrian street reopens on 3 weekend days (from May 15 to 17) as a part of Hue tourism stimulus plan. Business households in the Western Quarter have to follow the regulations of COVID-19 prevention such as gatherings of over 30 people and street art performances, etc., are not allowed. Furthermore, local police officers will be patrol the quarter to remind the people to follow the regulations.

As recorded, the business households here rejoiced that the Western Quarter came into reoperation, boosting their business activities considerably and helping tourists and local people have a place of entertainment on weekends.

Previously, the People’s Committee of Hue city had offered a writing to mobilize those doing businesses here to shutdown their shops by themselves to prevent the pandemic after the first case of COVID-19 in Hue (a British tourist) was reported.
