On the afternoon of November 21st, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) held a workshop titled: “Solutions to Improve the Qualifications of Research work force, Technology, and Business Management Personnel to Apply and Master High Technology and Advanced Technology in Order to Increase Productivity and Quality of Key Products in the City, Aiming toward Developing National Products”. The discussion focused on solutions to elevate Hue cajeput essential oil into a national-level product.

On the evening of September 5th, the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) organized an exhibition to showcase Science and Technology products, commercially potential products, and trademark-protected products in 2025. The exhibition is part of activities to promote the development of the Science and Technology market and to respond to the National Tourism Year 2025; the exhibition runs for two days, from September 5th to September 7th.

On the afternoon of July 23rd , the Department of Science and Technology held a conference to evaluate the results of a non-state budget funded science and technology project titled: “Researching, expanding, developing, and harnessing the medicinal value of Abelmoschus Sagittifolius (Bo Chinh Ginseng), a valuable Vietnamese medicinal herb, to create a health-oriented material-products-gift set linked with scientific and cultural research in Hue City”, led by SBC Hoang Gia Co., Ltd.

On June 22, the award ceremony for the category of Creative Information Technology Products for students took place and the closing ceremony of the Hue-ICT Challenge 2025 competition were also held at the University of Science, Hue University.

On September 12th, at the Provincial Center for Culture and Art, the Department of Science and Technology (S&T) inaugurated an exhibition showcasing technological devices, science and technology products, innovations, and creative startup (CS) products, as well as key products from the North Central and Central Coastal regions.

On the afternoon of August 15, the Enterprise Development Foundation - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Provincial Business Association, in collaboration with Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Joint Stock Company (ACTIV), organized a workshop on “Traceability: Intellectual property protection for enterprises and key products of Thua Thien Hue Province”.

Since embarking on the journey with technology to preserve fresh flowers into everlasting blooms, the love for flowers of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lan (from Phong Thu, Phong Dien) has flourished even more. Day and night, with relentless dedication to exploration and research, this young lady has ingeniously created beautiful, unique everlasting flower products, from flower fields.

On September 29, Hue University held a Kick-off conference of the incubation program to commercialize science and technology products.

On the morning of December 8, at the awarding ceremony for the Make in Vietnam Awards 2022 within the framework of the National Forum on Developing Digital Technology Businesses 2022 (VFTE 2022), organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications, "The smart urban services platform in Thua Thien Hue Province (Hue-S)” was honored to win the Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product Awards 2022, making it the Top 10 Best Digital Products for Digital Society.
