On December 21, at Hai Van Frontier Post (Hai Van Quan) relic, Hue Monuments Conservation Center collaborated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City to hold a ceremony announcing the completion of the project to preserve, restore, and promote the value of the Hai Van Frontier Post national relic site.

In 2024, there has been six individuals who donated artifacts, and nine establishments and individuals involved in producing traditional Hue handicrafts supported the Thua Thien Hue Museum of History in its exhibition and display efforts to promote Hue’s cultural heritage to the public and visitors.

On the morning of June 7th, at Hue Children Hall, the Biodiversity Conservation component, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam), Helvetas, and the Forest Protection Department, organized the opening ceremony of the “For the sustainable life of nature and people” exhibition. This event is part of the “Sustainable Forest management and Biodiversity conservation” (VFBC) project.

The tomb of Emperor Thieu Tri (Cu Chanh village, Thuy Bang commune, Hue City) known as Xuong Lang, is a majestic tomb complex with beautiful landscapes in Hue Ancient Capital. Over time, the structure has suffered significant damage.

The ideas for designing a pedestrian bridge over Hộ thành hào (Citadel Protection Dike) connecting Thượng thành (Upper Citadel) have just been announced by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center. What many people are interested in is whether or not the idea of building a bridge is feasible and affects the heritage.

Along with the investment in completing traffic infrastructure, lighting system and public utilities, Hue City has recently prioritized the resources to allocate investment capital to upgrade and restore communal houses, in order to contribute to the conservation and restoration of relics in the area.

For the cultural heritage of Phuoc Tich Village to get a firm footing in the contemporary social life, there is a need to formulate the mechanisms, policies, and action plans to mobilize the strength of the residential community as the creators, owners, practitioners, beneficiaries...

The Provincial Development Research Institute and Hue Monument Conservation Center would share data and information on the relics that is under the management and conservation of the center.

“Modernity comes from tradition. However one must modernize tradition if one wants it to continue,” said Le Thiet Cuong. It is also the message Cuong and his partners want to get across at the exhibition “Miniature Animals.”

General Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Audrey Azoulay confirmed this after visiting a number of architectural works in the Complex of Hue Monuments on September 7.
