The Central Coast Nature Museum has launched the art photography contest “Dance of the Lagoon Birds”. Entries will be accepted from August 18th to October 31st, 2025, from all Vietnamese citizens, capturing vivid and unique moments of bird species living or migrating in lagoons and coastal areas.

On spring days, Hue is vibrant and bright with the lush green shoots of trees and leaves. Through the window, amidst the canopy of trees, and on the leaves adorned with dewdrops, little birds are showing off their beauty in the warm spring air.

On the peak of Bach Ma Mountain, where the weather is mild all year round, the vibrant colors of flowers, leaves, and countless forest birds have always been an endless source of inspiration for photographers and those who wish to explore the pristine beauty of nature.

People often say Hue is like a poetic lush green garden. When spring comes, the whole Hue garden is filled with gentle fragrance from flowers. At that time, flowers are not just flowers; flowers are also bright beams at dawn; flowers hide themselves under wings of swallows which herald the coming of spring; flowers ride on butterflies to show off their beauty and aroma; flowers sing along with birds on branches...

In recent several months, a great number of flocks of storks have been flying to perch upon the branches of trees by a lake in Thuy Bieu ward, Hue City, creating a picturesque and tranquil scene.

Not claiming himself as a photographer, Mr. Tran Thien (born in 1984) devotes all his passion and heart to “hunt” the picturesque and unique photos of birds. To catch these ecstatic moments, sometimes he has to “disguise” himself as a bird, stork, and hide himself for hours, even for days.

Birds in the wild enjoy parental or spousal love just as many other wild animals do. Baby birds find it hard to exist without the protection from their parents. The mother birds cry so tragically when they lose their babies.
