On the afternoon of December 5, the Provincial People's Committee Office announced that a delegation from Thua Thien Hue province had just concluded a visit and working trip to various localities and enterprises in Japan.

With a total registered capital of 248 million USD, accounting for 15% in quantity and 5.4% in foreign direct investment (FDI) capital of the whole province, Japanese enterprises are important partners in calling for FDI investment in Thua Thien Hue.

On the afternoon of August 15, the Enterprise Development Foundation - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Provincial Business Association, in collaboration with Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Joint Stock Company (ACTIV), organized a workshop on “Traceability: Intellectual property protection for enterprises and key products of Thua Thien Hue Province”.

On the evening of April 29th, at Thuan An beach, Thuan An ward, the People's Committee of Hue City organized the opening ceremony of “Thuan An – Call of the sea” festival 2024. The event was attended by Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Member of the Standing Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People's Council; city leaders; departments, agencies, units, enterprises; as well as domestic and international tourists.

Thua Thien Hue prioritizes mobilizing resources, focusing on accelerating investment in key infrastructure development projects. At the same time, the city gradually improves the investment environment to attract more large enterprises.

“The government will enhance activities and support solutions for FDI enterprises” affirmed Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, at the conference “Meeting with foreign-invested enterprises in Thua Thien Hue province in 2023” organized by the Planning and Investment Department and the FDI Club of Thua Thien Hue on the afternoon of December 19.

Innovative start-up activities in Thua Thien Hue have obtained many achievements and have been honored. However, in order for them to continue to spread, in addition to internal resources from enterprises, startups also need mechanisms and policies to effectively activate innovative start-up activities in each business.

The interest rates and exchange rates have continuously risen in recent times, resulting in high lending rates, greatly affecting the operations of enterprises. This issue is confirmed by Mr. Duong Tuan Anh, Chairman of the Provincial Enterprise Association with Thua Thien Hue Weekend Newspaper.

Japan is one of the strategic countries in attracting investment. Therefore, Thua Thien Hue province is focusing on building investment promotion strategies and attracting Japanese enterprises to invest in investment research.

A good sign is that although the COVID-19 pandemic is still complicated, many enterprises in Thua Thien Hue have returned to operation and expanded production and business.
