On the afternoon of April 26th, at Tang Tho Lau (Archive Pavilion) inside Hue Imperial City, Hue Monuments Conservation Center organized the “Exploring and Promoting the value of the Documentary Heritage: The relief castings on the Nine Dynastic Urns at Hue Imperial Citadel” event in celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025.

Although Hue is a land known for its numerous national-scale libraries and archives, the work of Tang Tho Lau (or Tang Thu Lau - Archive Pavilion) - also known as Lau Tang Tho (or Tang Thu), is still considered a rare “Treasure of the Ancients” of the monarchy period that has been remarkably preserved.

In response to the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, on the morning of April 18, Hue Monuments Conservation Center opened the exhibition “Preserving the Historical Vestige – Discovering Tang Tho Lau (Archive Pavilion)”. Attending the event were Mr. Hoang Khanh Hung, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Hue City Party Committee.

With an aim to add more documents, photos and valuable resources of books to Tang Tho Lau (Archive Pavilion), Hue Monuments Conservation Center launched a ceremony to donate and receive documents and books, etc., with the theme “The Imprint of Tang Tho Lau in Our Mind”.
