With a keen sense for crop transformation, Mr. Truong Minh Toan (Ka Tu village, Huong Phu commune, Phu Loc district) boldly chose to cultivate Bo Chinh ginseng, a “demanding” plant but one full of promise.

Living in a place considered a ‘barren’ land, people in the hilly area of Phong Son - Phong Xuan - Phong My on the west of Phong Dien district were once skeptical when a businessman brought tens of billions of VND back to his hometown to establish a manufacturing plant for producing medicinal essential oils. Now that they are convinced, and feel happy upon breathing in the ‘air fragrant with scents from medicinal herbs’.

With the theme “Towards the sky’, artist Le Minh Phong depicted characters in search of freedom, light, and an escape from slavery as well as those leaving the barren lands for more fertile regions in hope of better lives.
