Production lines operating across industrial parks, new factories set to break ground, and infrastructure projects nearing completion are all helping shape Hue’s emerging industrial landscape, raising expectations for a strong growth driver in 2026.

To achieve double-digit growth target for the 2026 - 2030 period, Hue City is focusing on increasing and effectively utilizing investment resources.

Hue is a land once at the heart of the nation’s political power, culture, and scholarship; yet, today’s Hue is not merely looking back to the past. The city is quietly preparing for a major transformation, aiming to become Asia’s leading smart coastal heritage city by 2045.

Building on the results achieved in 2025, Hue City has set a growth target of over 10% per year for the 2026 - 2030 period. By 2030, the city strives to reach a growth rate of 11.5 - 12%, and a budget revenue of 28,000 - 30,000 billion VND.

Each FDI project serves as a piece in the mosaic of Hue’s growth. The inflow of capital enriches resources while bringing advanced technology and modern governance, opening pathways to integration and helping Hue steadily establish its foothold in the global value chain.

For the 3rd time in a row, Hue City won the ASEAN Clean Tourism City Award - an opportunity for Hue's tourism sector to effectively market its tourism business activities. With many solutions adopted by the province, maintaining the clean tourism city brand is also synonymous with strong growth in harmony with sustainable criteria.

Linkage is an essential element of tourism development and promotion. To foster sustainable tourism, regions in Central Vietnam must engage in research to identify tourism trends and formulate timely, suitable policies for the development of new products. They must also cooperate closely to facilitate tourism growth.

This is the topic of an international conference organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) in collaboration with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province and World Bank (WB) on the morning of June 8 in Hue City.
