Alongside aspirations for future UNESCO inscription, Hue Nam Temple Festival (also known as Hon Chen Temple Festival) is increasingly being viewed as a distinctive form of spiritual tourism. Together with safeguarding core values, the festival is seeking to harness the depth of cultural heritage to attract visitors, while avoiding excessive commercialization that could erode the identity.

On the evening of September 25, thousands of audience members, residents, and visitors gathered at the stage in front of Kien Trung Palace in Hue Imperial Citadel to enjoy the ‘Nhin nhung mua thu di’ (‘Contemplating Autumns Go By’) music program, one of the highlights of the autumn season as part of Hue Festival 2026.

From colourful lanterns and the lively beats of unicorn dance drums to gifts and scholarships presented directly to children, Youth Union organizations at all levels in Hue are bringing more joy to disadvantaged children during this Mid-Autumn Festival.

On the morning of September 25, the Athletics Championship, part of the 10th Hue City Sports Festival - 2026, officially opened at Tu Do Stadium, Thuan Hoa Ward.

On the evening of September 23rd, Hue City Youth and Children’s Center, in coordination with other units, organized the 22nd ‘Full Moon Festival’ 2026 under the theme ‘Lanterns Lighting Up Dreams’ for disadvantaged children.

On the evening of September 24th, as part of the Autumn Festival - Hue Festival 2026, the grounds of Kien Trung Palace will come alive with the colors of the Mid-Autumn Festival, featuring a lantern festival, royal court games, and an artistic program steeped in Hue’s traditional cultural heritage.

On the evening of September 21, Hue City Young Entrepreneurs Association, in coordination with Kim Dong Park, and the Youth Union Chapter of the Faculty of Marketing and Commerce, University of Economics, Hue University, organized a Mid-Autumn Festival program themed ‘Enjoying Mid-Autumn Festival’ for children facing difficult circumstances in the city.

On the morning of September 20th, Hue City Federation of Labor organized a program to provide support for disadvantaged union members, workers and children of union members at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, combined with Mid-Autumn Festival activities for the children. Attending the program was Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City.

The 2026 Hue Unicorn Dance Festival officially opened on the morning of September 20 at the Sports Hall at 100 Pham Van Dong St. The event is part of the Autumn Festival activities under the Hue Festival 2026 program and is jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee.

The Ban Soc (Calendar Distribution) Ceremony of the Nguyen Dynasty marks the commencement of Hue Festival 2024, portrayed through a staged performance that revives ancient rituals and customs.
