“Innovating Occupational Safety Management in the Digital Era” is the title of the article written by Hai Thuan, developed from a conversation with Mr. Le Xuan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs, on the occasion of the 2026 Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene.

Accordingly, the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene should go beyond a short-term campaign in the peak period of May and become a long-term driving force for sustainable development across businesses and workplaces. In the digital era, technology needs to be utilized more effectively to detect potential hazards as soon as possible, while also strengthening risk control and better protecting laborers.

In an interview with Hue Today Weekly, Mr. Le Xuan Hai noted that this year’s theme highlights the request for occupational safety and hygiene management to move beyond periodic campaigns and become an ongoing responsibility, with digital transformation serving as a key driver, in which, businesses should make greater use of digital technologies to detect risks early, strengthen workplace monitoring, and enhance the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.

Regarding employees, Mr. Hai emphasized the importance of actively improving safety awareness and professional skills, building a habit of complying with regulations and procedures, and utilizing digital platforms to report potential workplace hazards. He stressed that technology can only be truly effective when both businesses and workers share a common awareness and work together to cultivate a sustainable safety culture.

In the “Economy & Development” section, through the article “Unlocking New Spaces for Development”, Le Tho informed that as several strategic infrastructure projects and new development corridors gradually take shape, Hue is gaining greater momentum to expand its urban space and promote the growth of the marine economy, logistics, and service sectors.

As a centrally governed municipality, Hue is entering a new stage of development with expectations of becoming a key growth driver in Central Vietnam. In addition to its strengths in heritage, culture, and natural landscapes, the city is also presented with significant opportunities to expand urban areas, develop the marine economy, logistics, high-tech industries, and high-quality services.
