Tuoi Tre Newspaper supports 89 new students in Hue City

HNN.VN - On October 5, Tuoi Tre Newspaper, in coordination with Hue City Youth Union, organized the “Supporting students to school” scholarship awarding ceremony with the theme “One aspiration - Ten thousand hearts” for 89 new students in Hue City who face difficult circumstances with strong determination.

This is the second presentation location in the “Supporting students to school” scholarship program in 2025 dedicated to new students, as part of the 609th “For tomorrow's development” program of Tuoi Tre Newspaper. The total cost of the program is over 1.3 billion VND, sponsored by Hue “Supporting students to school” Club, and Binh Dien - Lam Dong Joint Stock Company. Each scholarship is worth 15 million VND in cash.

In addition, Nestlé Vietnam Co., Ltd. sponsored gifts for new students, and the Vinacam Study Promotion Fund - Vinacam Group Joint Stock Company sponsored 2 laptops for new students with particularly difficult circumstances who lack learning equipment. A reader of Tuoi Tre Newspaper also supported Le Thi Xuan, a new student (University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University) with 30 million VND; and Quach Le Bao Ngoc, a new student (University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University) with 20 million VND to pay their tuition fees.

Hue “Supporting students to school” Club is a gathering place for people far from home and those who love their homeland Hue, etc., wishing to return to support, and light the fire for young people with difficult circumstances in their hometown. With the spirit of those who come first helping those who come after; it has created profound human values for the “Supporting students to school” program in Hue.

21 years ago, starting with the first 6 new students in Hue with difficult circumstances who were supported, Hue “Supporting students to school” Club has now provided support to 1,614 new students with a total scholarship fund of over 16 billion VND. Besides the scholarship grants, many members of the Club also adopt, support living expenses, transportation, and jobs… for new students living far from home.

The “Supporting students to school” program was launched in 2003 with 27 scholarships. 2025 marks its 22nd year, and the 23rd season of supporting students facing difficult circumstances with strong determination. The program has awarded scholarships to 26,033 new students with difficult circumstances, helping them enter universities and colleges, with a total amount of more than 241 billion VND.
