Providing resources and facilitating students in scientific research

HNN.VN - This is the issue raised at the 2023 Students’ Scientific Research Conference, which took place at the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University on the afternoon of May 14. The conference was attended by experts from three member universities of Hue University, including University of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and University of Education, along with nearly 400 students.

Currently, university training units are constantly improving the quality of teaching and learning, especially in the field of scientific research, in which, the solution direction being focused is promulgating policies, providing resources and investments so as to facilitate the development of scientific research, the entrepreneurship and innovation activities among students.

At the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, there are 46 topics in terms of student-level scientific work and studies, with 305 million VND in 2022; and three student - level topics in pilot production, with 40 million VND in the same year. The university - level and student - level topics, along with pilot production projects of lecturers and students have improved the quality of research, as well as the efficiency in publishing scientific articles and participating in scientific and technological competitions at different levels.

A special feature is that some of the students' scientific research results have been published in specialized journals such as the Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology, and some other journals.

At the conference, in addition to the awards to the group of students in science research and the posters, the organizing committee also honored, encouraged and rewarded the groups of students and their instructors in science research, who had gained achievements and awards from Hue University - level or higher in the academic year of 2022 - 2023.

*On the same day, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University coordinated with the Provincial Department of Science and Technology to organize a forum, with the aim to promote the development of entrepreneurship and innovation among students in 2023.

The delegates exchanged many issues and proposed several solutions to promote the development of entrepreneurship and innovation among students, including continuing to instruct and support students to participate in start-up ideas and projects; innovating the models of scientific research among students in the direction of selecting groups of students with good ideas and ability, who are able to participate in science and technology awards, and create products to start a business.
