 Comrade Tran Cam Tu shared the difficulties and losses that Hue has suffered due to the flood

Working in Thanh Thuy Ward, the Permanent Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat shared that in recent days, many localities in the Central region have continuously suffered from prolonged heavy rain; rapid rise of floodwaters, landslides, widespread deep flooding, and traffic disruption, causing serious damage to people and property. Hue City is one of the most severely affected localities.

Comrade Tran Cam Tu stated that despite being busy on an overseas trip, Party General Secretary To Lam has been following the flood developments, expressing his concern and worry, as well as sending a Letter of inquiry, encouragement, and deep sympathy to the compatriots, cadres, and soldiers nationwide, who are striving to respond to and overcome the consequences of the natural disaster.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Comrade Tran Cam Tu conveyed sincere greetings, deep sympathy, and profound sharing to the comrades in the political system, frontline forces, and people for the immense losses and damages that they have suffered.

Secretary of Hue City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung expressed deep gratitude for the special affection and concern that the Party and State leaders have shown for Hue City in particular, at a time when the locality is heavily impacted by flood.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung said that in recent days, with the timely direction from the Central Government and the resolute involvement of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee, and functional forces, Hue proactively implemented many measures for response, relief, and post-disaster recovery. “As of now, the situation is basically under control, but people's lives still face many difficulties that require continued attention and support,” said Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung.

On this occasion, Comrade Tran Cam Tu presented 20 gift packages to households severely affected by the flood in Thanh Thuy; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front supported Hue with 5 billion VND to overcome the consequences of the natural disaster.
