Stage 9 “Phu Xuan - Da Vien” took cyclists through many of Hue’s landmarks, including Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, Da Vien Bridge, and Nghinh Luong Dinh (Nghinh Luong Dinh Pavilion), etc., along lush, tree-lined routes. These new routes not only offered new experiences for the cyclists, but also served as an “innovative” way to promote the image of a “beautiful - green - clean - bright - safe” Ancient Capital to friends near and far.
Following the award ceremony for outstanding cyclists of Stage 8 and a cycling parade featuring more than 50 participants in ao dai, the race began with a 6-lap Phu Xuan - Da Vien route, featuring nearly 100 amateur cyclists from provinces and cities, namely Hanoi, Hue, Quang Tri, and Bac Ninh, etc.

After the exciting amateur round, over 100 top domestic cyclists and nearly 20 international cyclists officially began the Stage 9 “Phu Xuan - Da Vien”, covering a total distance of 54 km (12 laps, 2 Sprint segments).
After a few reconnaissance laps, the pace intensified as cyclists maintained high speed during the Sprint laps.
Ultimately, with a decisive final sprint, Marchuk Dzianis of the Kenda Dong Nai team overtook Patrick Paterson to claim victory in Stage 9.
After Stage 9, on April 13 at Phu Van Lau, the race will continue with Stage 10 “Hue City - Da Nang City”, covering a total distance of 113km, the cyclists will conquer three major mountain passes: Phuoc Tuong, Phu Gia, and Hai Van.
