Hue City achieved remarkable progress in this year’s High School Graduation Exam, with a significant increase in average scores, ranking 9th out of 34 provinces and cities nationwide.
Notably, Hue has 5 subjects ranked among the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest average scores. Specifically, Chemistry ranks 2nd with an average score of 6.57; Mathematics ranks 7th with 4.88; Literature ranks 7th with 7.19; Geography ranks 7th with 6.79; and Physics ranks 9th with 7.14.
Compared to last year, the average scores for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, and Geography are either equivalent or slightly lower. Mathematics, however, stands out with an average score of 4.88, surpassing the national average of 4.78.
According to the schedule, the Department of Education and Training and high schools will complete the graduation certification process by July 18 at the latest, and announce the graduation results by July 20. Exam result certificates will be printed and delivered to candidates by July 22.
The process of accepting re-evaluation requests and compiling the re-evaluation list will take place from July 16 to July 25. The re-evaluation, if any, will be completed by August 3.
The 2025 High School Graduation Exam took place over two days, June 26 and 27. This year, Hue City had 13,844 candidates participating, following both the 2006 and 2018 General Education Curriculums (GECs).
Candidates under the 2006 General Education Curriculum took exams in Mathematics, Literature, Foreign Language, and one of two combined tests: Natural Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Sciences (History, Geography, Civic Education).
Meanwhile, candidates under the 2018 General Education Curriculum took two mandatory subjects, Literature and Mathematics, and chose two additional subjects among Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Informatics, Technology, or Foreign Language.
