Hue City exceeds job creation targets for 2021 - 2025 period

Over the past five years, the city has provided employment for 85,300 workers, reaching 102.2% of the plan; including sending 9,200 workers to work abroad under contracts. Economic and social development programs, the expansion of production and business activities of businesses, and various livelihood models have created jobs for over 43,600 workers, contributing to stabilized livelihoods, especially in rural areas and ethnic minority regions.
Preferential credit policies for job creation continue to prove effective. During the period of 2021 - 2025, the city entrusted and disbursed over 1.5 trillion VND to more than 26,000 borrowers, creating stable jobs for over 26,100 workers. Labor supply - demand matching activities were bolstered through job fairs, employment days, employment months, and online job trading platforms, attracting the participation of nearly 1,000 businesses.
In his keynote address at the conference, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, recognized and commended the efforts of all levels, sectors, the business community, and workers in implementing the Employment Program for the period of 2021 - 2025. At the same time, he requested that departments, sectors, and localities focus on strengthening communication, and perfecting employment mechanisms and policies in accordance with the 2025 Employment Law; creating breakthroughs in investment attraction and private sector development to generate more sustainable jobs.
On this occasion, the City People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 13 individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing the employment program during the period of 2021 - 2025 in the city.
