Fostering the publishing industry’s development in a positive and wholesome way

HNN.VN - This is the direction of Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan at the Conference on Publishing and Issuing in 2018 held by Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Central Commission for Propaganda and Education on March 9 in Hue city. Attending the conference were Mr. Le Truong Luu, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Van Phuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Director of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Education.

The Minister awards emulation flags to agencies

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Truong Luu said that Thua Thien Hue Publishing, Printing and Issuing Department has achieved remarkable achievements. The province has always paid attention to create the best conditions for publishing enterprises to have full access to the new regulations of law. It also pledged to direct publishers in the locality to effectively implement the Planning on development of publishing, printing and distribution of publications up to 2020 with a vision to 2030 on schedule.

Addressing the conference, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan raised four issues that the publishing industry had to face and resolve to take further steps as well as to further improve the quality of publishing activities. It is essential that the managing agency pay more attention to investing in upgrading facilities of the publishing house, developing a strategy for training human resources for the whole sector, branding publishers and fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of the managing agency in publishing activities.

In the coming time, managing agencies, agencies, branches and localities should pay more attention to and invest more in publishing activities. The Ministry of Information and Communications, the Departments of Information and Communications across the country should coordinate more closely and jointly help the Publishing sector develop in a positive, wholesome way, obtaining a higher position in the cultural and social life.
