The painter Dang Mau Tuu exhibits paintings depicting his homeland Binh Dinh
HNN.VN - "Quê Nẫu" (Nẫu refers to Binh Dinh) is the theme of an art exhibition opened on December 20th by Dang Mau Tuu - a painter, at the Provincial Convention Center of Binh Dinh. The exhibition was organized by the Provincial Literature and Artistic Association of Binh Dinh.

The paintings, rich in realistic colors, convey the artist’s righteousness and simplicity, bearing his profound sentiments of a bygone era.

Dang Mau Tuu shared, “I have a homeland, where I was born, with an old house brimming with countless memories. Although I have chosen Hue as my second homeland; after 60 years, I return like a homing pigeon through my earnest paintings. Like the endearing call of ‘nẫu’, I paint the days of yore, the childhood memories, and the stories of the people in the land of Nẫu...”
“Dang Mau Tuu not only recounts his own childhood but also revives the homeland of Binh Dinh in the childhood memories of the older generation. He paints with nostalgia, with the thoughts and recollections of many years spent away from home,” shared one of his friends while admiring the "Quê Nẫu" painting exhibition.
The exhibition will run until January 2, 2024.
