Opening the exhibition and award ceremony for the photo contest “Hue - The Friendly Land”
HNN.VN - On the morning of December 8, the People’s Committee of Hue City in collaboration with the Vietnam Photography Association, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations, and the Provincial Photography Association held an award ceremony and opening of the news and artistic photo contest called Hue – The Friendly Land.

Hue is a region well-known with numerous beautiful landscapes and many unique cultural heritages. To promote beautiful images of culture, civilized lifestyle, as well as landscapes, and the friendly, hospitable Hue people to tourists, Hue City People’s Committee held a news and artistic photo contest with the theme “Hue – The Friendly Land”.
After nearly 3 months of implementation, the organizing board has received 884 works from 86 photographers coming from 14 provinces and cities nationwide. After 5 rounds of judging, the organizing board selected 65 works of 21 authors to display in the exhibition, after that, 11 works of 8 excellent authors were selected to be awarded, including 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 5 consolation prizes.
Along with the awarding ceremony, Hue City also held an exhibition to display the photo artworks at No. 23 – 25 Le Loi St., Vinh Ninh ward from now until the Lunar New year of the Dragon. This exhibition is opened for tourists and art enthusiasts to visit and experience.
