The exhibition brings together 60 photographic works by 54 photographic artists; among them, 30 artists (with 30 photographic works) are from the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Photographic Artists, the remaining is from the Thua Thien Hue Association of Photographic Artists.

The beautiful moments of Vietnamese homeland were recorded by photographic artists with artistic creativity. Those photos show the image of the country in the integration period, with beautiful and vibrant moments of the country's economic locomotive city, such as: "The city named after Uncle Ho", "An early morning in the city", "The city lights up", etc. The image of the developing Thua Thien Hue also appears poetically through the photographic works of "A new day", "The heritage night", and "Dawn on the Huong River", etc.

The normal life, working activities, festival activities, and everyday moments, etc., are also shown in various ways by the photographic artists. Each scene is a beautiful photo, which is a true reflection of the developing life, and the beauty of contemporary life today in all regions of the country.

In 2000, in the short piece entitled “Hue Diary,” written when he returned for the first Hue Festival, musician Trinh Cong Son wrote, “When you have a place to return, or to visit from time to time, you are very fortunate. There, you have a river, a mountain, and you can find again your old friends whose hair used to be black has now turned grey. You might suddenly meet a Hue girl on the street and ask her, ‘Is there anything new in Hue now?’ And immediately, or perhaps by chance, she will recite the two lines from a poem by Bui Giang: “Da thua xu Hue bay gio/ Van con nui Ngu ben bo song Huong” (“Yes, sir, Hue now/ Still has Ngu Mount by the Huong river…”)
