During the Mid-Autumn Festival, unicorn - lion - dragon dance is considered to bring auspicious omen, prosperity, happiness, and laughter not only for children but also for adults. This is a street folk dancing art, which is often performed on festive occasions, especially the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the images of colorful lanterns are the memories associated with the childhood of many people.

According to Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Truong Dinh Hanh, the unicorn - lion - dragon dance performance and lantern procession in Mid-Autumn Festival in Hue City this year is a useful playground for the youth and the locals in the city, aiming to preserve and promote unique cultural traditions of the nation, enhance cultural and sports exchanges among clubs, teams, groups, and artisans in the area, as well as promoting the images of the homeland and Hue people to domestic and international friends.

The Mid-Autumn Festival lantern procession, with the participation of ten major unicorn - lion - dragon dance troupes of Hue City, along with about 300 students from ten schools in the area, is a meaningful activity so as to create a joyful and excited atmosphere for children across the country to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and, at the same time, to respond to Hue Festival - Four Seasons of Festivals in 2022.

After the opening ceremony of the unicorn - lion - dragon dance performance held at Thuong Bac Park, the procession performed on downtown streets along the route from Thuong Bac Park to Tran Hung Dao Street, Truong Tien Bridge, Le Loi Street, Phu Xuan Bridge, and then returned to the starting location.
