Provincial leaders in dialogue with workers: Many issues were shared, proposed and resolved

This is one of the meaningful activities in the program of the 14th Provincial Trade Union Delegates Assembly, term 2018-2023.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Bui Thanh Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Cao; member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Nam Tien; Chairwoman of the provincial Labor Federation Nguyen Khoa Hoai Huong; leaders of some departments; directors of enterprises; and about 400 representatives of the labor force attended the dialogue.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Cao also presided over the dialogue. He affirmed that this is a democratic forum for union members, employees and employers to express their thoughts and aspirations, proposals and recommendations to all levels and branches concerned. At the same time, it is an opportunity for the provincial leaders to listen, understand and share difficulties and problems of enterprises and employees.

The chairman of the provincial People's Committee highly appreciates the fact that all levels of the trade union have gradually changed the content and mode of operation, strongly orienting towards grassroots level and cooperating with the government and the business community to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of trade unionists and employees.

Bad debts, failure to pay and misappropriation of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance of employees, etc. were issues that union members, government workers, laborers, and employees questioned and raised at the dialogue.

Concluding the dialogue, Chairman Nguyen Van Cao directed the departments involved to quickly resolve the specific issues raised, to pay more attention to the activities of government employees and laborers in the province, and to continue monitoring, directing and supporting the working class, making the employees’ lives increasingly better in the spirit that the labor force is the motivation and power for the rapid and sustainable development of the province.

At the dialogue, leaders of departments also gave thorough responses to the questions and suggestions of employees such as: adjusting the bus schedules; improving the lighting system in industrial zones; formulating wage scales and payrolls according to requirements; implementing democratic regulations in agencies, units, enterprises, etc. In addition, the delegates put forwards suggestions to better carry out movements and campaigns such as "Building a green city," "Building a smoke-free city," "Hue without vehicle horns," "Building a litter-free city," "Campaigning to stop burning votive offerings in public,” etc.
