Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center and Standing Deputy Head of the Sculpture Camp Organizing Committee, said the works reflected diverse and distinctive perspectives on Hue's people, culture and landscape. He noted that the camp not only creates works of artistic value but also provides an opportunity for Vietnamese and international artists to meet, exchange ideas and build connections, opening up possibilities for long-term cooperation.
According to the organizers, the event also helps reinforce Hue's position as a city with a distinctive cultural and artistic identity, while making the destination more attractive to domestic and international visitors.
Under the theme ‘Impressions of Hue, Vietnam – 2026’, the sculpture camp aims to create more works of artistic value for the city's public art spaces, enriching cultural life and contributing to the development of contemporary art in Hue.
